What's your worst travelling story? Horrible airport experience? Seasickness?

Baubles says:
All trips to the vet are bad. The moving, the sounds, the smells - and the horrible knowing that you are being taken, against your will, to that place where they poke, prod and torture you. I don't want to talk about it any more.

BH (Baubles's human) says:
Most scary experience was a ride in a bus going up a mountain in Southwestern China. The driver was taking hairpin turns at breakneck speed and us passengers were clinging on for dear life. Suddenly as we rounded a corner, the entire left wall of the bus FELL OFF into the ravine. It was so completely unexpected we were stunned into silence (no one screamed). The driver screeched to a halt and ordered everyone off the bus. I was shaking. The driver walked down to the nearest town to get another bus; some people walked with him but most of us couldn't face the idea of a three hour trek, so we waited by the roadside for them to send help.
